May Takahasi – Sir Peter Blake Youth Enviro Leaders Forum

May Takahashi has been selected as a delegate for the 2018 Sir Peter Blake Youth Enviro Leaders Forum.  This is a huge achievement for her. May will join 55 secondary school students from around NZ for a week long leadership development adventure about the environment. She will have the opportunity to learn more about the environmental issues of climate change facing New Zealand, particularly ocean acidification, greenhouse gas emissions, atmospheric carbon dioxide, climate trends, liveable cities, adaptation and resilience.  The forum will help develop leadership skills while participating in outdoor activities.  She will have the chance to meet and engage with inspiring and informative speakers, including experts from the Ministry for the Environment, Sir Peter Blake Trust alumni, local and national politicians, business and community leaders, and like-minded peers.  Delegates to YELF are eligible to join future Young Blake Expeditions as student voyagers.

YELF 2018 will be in Taranaki on 14-20 April and focus on different environmental issues related to climate change.
